This is a 1950’s inspired dress I made for my Costume Methods sewing class at Boston University. It is made of blue and black striped silk taffeta, with a zipper and key hole on the back, and one pocket on the front. There are two covered buttons I made, and I pattern matched all the stripes to create a chevron effect. I made this from designing to completed garment. My model is the beautiful Lya Ortega.
